Giver Review

Hello fellow readers! I know it has been quite a while since I've done a book review. But, today I'm introducing one of my favorites. I've read the book and seen the movie and both are wonderful, but today we are talking about the book.

Lois Lowry, the same author of Number The Stars, wrote the Giver. (Go check out my review for Number The Stars after this) The Giver is for all ages, but I recommend it to older middle school. The Giver has 23 chapters and 180 pages. This is a great book and as always Lois Lowry is great at creating a picture and making feel as if you're in the book.

The Giver is about a boy named Jonas who lives in a very interesting and different community. Much different than todays or anything you've ever heard of. In this community, you get assigned jobs but Jonas gets a very different job than his peers. Joans is uncertain of this job but accepts it. Jonas will soon learn the deep secrets of the community and what's outside of it. Will Joans be able to handle his new job, and the secrets that come with it? Can Joans excel in this new job, or is it too much for him? Find out in the Giver.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoy The Giver. It is a great book to try and a classic. Make sure the share and like and follow. Follow my Instagram for updates.
